The Norns In Seattle

The Norn Scene in Wagner's GÖTTERDÄMMERUNG is one of my favorite scenes in the RING Cycle; in fact, it's one of my favorite scenes in all opera. I have a whole set of Norn Scenes in my collection, and I listen to them frequently.
One of the best, in my estimation, comes from a performance given by Seattle Opera in 2005, conducted by Robert Spano; the three sisters were sung by Ewa Podleś, Stephanie Blythe, and Margaret Jane Wray.
