Jan Peerce & Leonard Warren ~ Duet from LA FORZA DEL DESTINO
Jan Peerce and Leonard Warren sing the duet "Solenne in quest'ora" from Verdi's LA FORZA DEL DESTINO. This 1946 recording features the RCA Victor Orchestra, conducted by Jean Paul Morel. It has a special meaning for me, as it was included in a 2-record set of Verdi and Puccini excerpts, issued by RCA Victor, which my parents gifted me on my 12th birthday. It was the first opera recording I ever owned.
